Let’s add some tasty pizazz, and get that pep back in your step!
I absolutely adore coffee, and cold brew is an afternoon favorite of mine. It’s not something I partake in often these days, but when I do, I like to sit still and savor every sip. ak gifted me this beauty over the holiday season, and it’s amazing. It doesn’t take up much space in the fridge, it’s beautiful to look at, it feels nice in the hand, and using freshly ground Sightglass, it produces a super smooth and refreshing beverage.
But let’s kick up the afternoon delight factor a few notches; shall we? Select your milk/non-dairy beverage of choice, and grab your blender. We use a Magic Bullet, and find this blend works really well in the small cup they provide. Pour 1 cup of your milk/non-dairy liquid in to the blender, then add 1/4 cup of brown sugar, and 1 cup of your cold brew. The liquids you’re adding should all be cold from the fridge, but if not (or you want more of a shaved ice version), throw in a few ice cubes as well.
Whirl everything together for two minutes, or until you cannot handle another second of the blender sound blasting in your ears. Grab one large ice cube from your freezer, and add it to a favorite clear glass, so you can enjoy the beautiful colors of your delicious drink. Gently pour blended mixture over ice, then top off with a 1/2 cup of plain cold brew (or to taste or caffeination preferences). If you want an even more decadent beverage, some delicious add-ins, pre-blending are: vanilla bean paste, chocolate extract, or a dash of cinnamon. Post-blending, I highly recommend adding a freshly-cracked stout beer (pictured above) for even more flavor with your buzzzzzz.
