Someone puts you in a cell, and tells you to stop thinking those revolutionary thoughts. Stop taking action “against” your state/government/race/gender/belief OR ELSE OR ELSE OR ELSE. At times the media provides coverage, and others your family doesn’t even know you’re gone. Even if you do get wind of something, it could be nibbles of truth, mixed with whatever makes the ruling party look best. While I’m not a master of politics, I am in charge of my actions and emotions. As such, I would be remiss if I didn’t recommend you hop on a plane, train, or automobile, to take you to the boat, that’ll get you over to the Ai Weiwei @Large exhibit on Alcatraz, BEFORE it departs in April. The brilliance of the magnificent pieces, the environment, and the subject matter combine to create one of the most moving exhibitions I’ve ever had the opportunity to visit. My mind has been on fire since viewing it, and I will continue to gulp down breaths of fresh air, in celebration of my freedom of speech.
